So this Sunday I went to brunch with a few of my girlfriends, who are also part of my wedding party. Every few months we decide on a spot to to have lunch, dinner or brunch. Sunday, we decided to eat at Granny’s Restaurant. It’s a down home, southern style restaurant with GREAT food. Chicken and waffles and shrimp and grits were a hit at our table ;-)

As far as my outfit, I decided to wear my new thrifted, suede skirt to brunch. I was hesitant at first to try it on because it didn’t have a size. However, I fell in love with the color and the skirt was in EXCELLENT condition. I paired it with a black and white sweater that I’ve had for years, and then pulled out my knee boots from Bakers. These boots are my favorite; they’re super comfy, stylish, and they fit over my huge calves, LOL!

My friends showed up looking pretty stylish as well but, that’s no surprise ;-) My good friends Jen and Jess (twins) wore these cute flats from Target. I saw both pair a while back but never tried them on. After seeing these two Sunday, I wish I would’ve picked up both pair!

Stylish, (Target) Flats

Lastly, I had to shout out Ms. Jen. She and I were roommates back at Delaware State and we’ve been tight ever since. She’s been natural for awhile now and I always love how she styles her locs. Her hair has grown so much these past couple  months! Also, can we get a round of applause for her lip color?! How on trend is the dark, vampy lipsitck? Flawless ;-)

Lipstick: Cyber (MAC)
Blazer: Thrifted
Glasses: Norman Kavali

All in all, I had a great time with my girls and I can’t wait to meet up with them again. Hopefully the rest of the gang can be in attendance next time :-) Until next time, be blessed!
