Personal Style Linkup – Thrifted in Blue Confidence

Have you ever put on an outfit, looked in the mirror and felt super confident? Well, that was my feeling when I put this vintage outfit on. You couldn’t tell me a thing and I sashayed around the house, lol! As I’ve shared with you in the past, I’m not a huge fan of skirts. But when I came across this vintage blue set, not liking skirts was the furthest thing from my mind.

I’ve always been a very confident person but there are times when I can be too hard on myself. I’ll say things like, “that won’t look good on me” or “I would wear that but….”. I’ve realized that although it’s natural to have certain hangups, it’s best not to stay in that negative place. Never say what you won’t do or wear – a lesson I’ve learned several times since I began blogging. How you wear a garment is what matters. You can wear the craziest outfit or pair up the most unexpected mix match patterns but if you rock it with confidence, that’s what really matters.

Suede Jacket: Thrifted (old), 2nd Avenue (Under $15)// Top & Skirt Set: Thrifted, 2nd Avenue $7.99// Heels: Thrifted, 2nd Avenue (Under $8)// Earrings: Target, $3.99// Necklace: Thrifted, 2nd Avenue $2.99

With that being said, I’d like to invite you to linkup an outfit that displays your personal style. I want to see how your outfit choice shows your confidence. It can be any outfit post. Show the world how confident, and stylish, you are. This linkup is also a way for me to connect with you all even more. Here are the one simple rule:

I’m sorry – is that a SPARKLY blue knit skirt suit set? Give me now! Oh my word, I love! You look great and I like the added pop of color with the heels.

I know there are some items in my closet that whenever I wear it I feel like I’m the sh*t. And there are items that I just know won’t look good on me. Probably a little bit of that is me being slightly hard on myself. I do realize that it helps to try the item on first to get a better feel. From there, I don’t see nothing wrong (*sings*with a little bump in grind.*sings* My bad. Got carried away.) in realistically knowing what does and what does not work for you. But you’re definitely right, confidence plays a major role in our decision.

Whit, thanks for the invite. Self confidence in any woman will always bring out the best in her no matter what she is wearing. Life is way too short to allow fashion to dictate how one feels, God’s love and that of our family is our best accessory inside and out!
