Personal Style Linkup – Plus Size Leggings

It’s Monday so you know what that means….another Personal Style Linkup! Today’s linkup includes me wearing one of my favorite articles of clothing- leggings! When I purchased this pair of plus size leggings from Lord & Taylor, I knew I’d made a sensible purchase. I’m constantly learning how to shop for my curves, which I believe is something you never stop “learning” how to do regardless of your body type/shape. Well made leggings, and comfy tunics, are pieces that make me feel very confident and fashion forward so, it’s a win win!

As I’ve mentioned several times on the blog, I’m constantly on the move so leggings have become an instant go-to. Leggings are great, but they must be tasteful. Wearing leggings, regardless of your shape or size, can be tricky, which is why I follow the 3 rules below.

1. Full length works best for me.

2. They must be made of heavy material – pantylines and see-through leggings are never tasteful.

3. An elastic waist that doesn’t squeeze or leave marks on my belly is a must – comfort is key.

I find that stores like Nordstrom, Lord and Taylor and Macy’s have a great selection of plus size leggings. Here are a few links in case you’re interested. I actually have the Vince Camuto and Style&Co. leggings pictured below. I purchased both pair from the actual store – the Vince Camuto pair were on sale for $40 and the Style&Co. were marked down to about $15-$20.

I want to see your amazing personal style posts! Be sure to link back your looks to this post. Thanks in advance. Until tomorrow,  be blessed!

Gotta be honest, I’m not a leggings person. Which is weird considering I used to rock all kinds of printed leggings from my Mom’s closet back in my middle school days. Such a risk taker, I was. lolol. Anywho, the only leggings I own at the moment is a faux leather pair in black. I’m currently looking at one from ASOS Curve; it’s pleated and has like a matte finish…and it’s black. I can’t see myself steering away from black to color leggings or even printed leggings. I may change my take on this one of these days.

Regarding your look – really nice! Great top and I like the black/white mix.

That is interesting because I just knew you’d be a leggings wearer. But then again as much as we’ve hung out, I haven’t seen you wear them. I can see you rocking those colorful leggings in middle school too – such the fashionista! Thanks for the comment….XO!

I absolutely love those shoes! I don’t wear leggings often because I can never find any that have enough stretch for my boot-ay lol. But I’ll definitely be checking out your suggestions. Thanks for sharing!

Effortlessly stylish and gorgeous. I love everything about this look. I like leggings – have wore a couple on my blog. Just like you, the material has to be thick, cos i find the see through ones distasteful too. Leggings are just so easy to style and very comfortable (personally speaking :-) ).
*I’ve link up too – Thank you.*
