7 Bible Verses to Renew and Refresh Your Spirit

July 7, 2020 by Whitney 2 Comments

Whenever I enter a new season, I meditate on one or more Bible verses. I call these “anchor scriptures”. Sometimes I look them up on my own or, on many occasions, I’ll be led to a particular verse (or verses) during my quiet time with the Lord. Either way, having a scripture to meditate and lean on can be extremely helpful when navigating through a new life season.

Since my theme for the month of July is “Refresh”, here are 7 Bible verses to help renew and refresh the spirit:

Bible Verses to Renew and Refresh

1. Isaiah 43:19 (NTL)

“For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”

2. Lamentations 3:23 (NLT)

“Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.”

3. Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

4. 2 Corinthians 5:17 (CEV)

“Anyone who belongs to Christ is a new person. The past is forgotten, and everything is new.”

5. Zephaniah 3:17 (CEV)

“The Lord your God wins victory after victory and is always with you. He celebrates and sings because of you, and he will refresh your life with his love.”

6. Psalms 51:10 (NIV)

Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

7. Psalms 23:1 (NIV)

“The Lord is my shepherd. I lack nothing.”
